The Virtual Collective
Overview
Join the Virtual Collective and help humanity in thought, word and deed.
What do I need to do?
- Pledge your commitment to the Virtual Collective Principles.
- Make a virtual donation of time and money towards the world-wide humanitarian needs of tomorrow.
Many of the questions you may have about the project have, hopefully, been answered below. If you have any further queries, please contact Sarah.
What is the aim of this project?
The Virtual Collective is a Geofeat International initiative which aims to inspire the individual to think globally, and take action towards creating one world and one humanity.
What are the virtual collective principles?
The core principles of this initiative ask you to pledge your commitment to:
- Remaining optimistic about the future
- Showing courage in the face of adversity
- One world and one humanity.
How does my pledge contribute to this vision?
It is universally accepted that energy follows thought. By pledging your commitment to the Virtual Collective Principles, and making a virtual donation (of time and money), you are contributing to the synergistic
thought that will ultimately provide the energy required to make this world a better place for all, now and into the future.
What is a virtual donation?
Your virtual donation is a symbolic gesture of your time and money. In other words, you are not donating actual time or money, but your thoughts instead. Since energy follows thought (a well-known maxim) this is a powerful undertaking.
You can donate units of time (one unit of Virtual Time equals one hour) and units of currency (one unit of Virtual Currency equals one unit of your local currency - for example, $1 USD or €1 EUR or ¥1 JPY etc).
Why make it virtual?
As a people, we have become very egocentric and materialistic. Most of us are guilty of waste, not only of wasting time, but money. But we also lead extremely busy lives, working hard just to make ends meet. If you have the time and money to donate then, by all means, join a voluntary organisation or donate funds to your favourite charity. But whilst you're at it, why not donate your thoughts as well?
The Virtual Collective aims to raise virtual time and money for that which serves a higher need. This higher need goes beyond local, state and national borders. There is no doctrine or religious belief system to uphold. We are politically non-aligned. The Virtual Collective represents the interests of all people, indeed all of life, including our ailing planet.
How many units of virtual time and currency should I donate?
As many, or as few, as you are happy to provide. Remember this is a symbolic gesture only, however we ask you to value your donation as though it were an actual contribution of your time and money.
Example 1: Jenny decided to "keep it simple" and donate one unit of virtual time and one unit of virtual currency.
Example 2: Isabelle chose to donate the equivalent of one unit of virtual time per week (total = 52 units of virtual time) and ten units of virtual currency per month (total = 120 units of virtual currency) for one year.
How does my contribution make a difference?
If every man, woman and child in the world donated one virtual unit each, of time and currency, we would have a Virtual Collective of roughly 6.6 billion units of virtual time and 6.6 billion units of virtual currency donated in thought. [1]
Now that's a heck of a lot of virtual time, and virtual money (no matter what currency you hold). And so, from a seemingly insignificant individual contribution, the energetic benefit for humanity would be immense.
1 The world population
is currently estimated at 6.6 billion.
